What is ESG

  • Environmental Initiatives:

These aim to improve a company's impact on society, such as promoting diversity and inclusion, supporting employee well-being, investing in community development and philanthropy, and ensuring responsible supply chain practices.

  • Governance Initiatives:

These address issues of transparency, accountability, and ethical behavior, such as implementing robust corporate governance practices, ensuring board diversity and independence, and establishing policies to prevent corruption and bribery.

What is DE&I?

DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives are a broad category of activities that aim to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

 

Some examples of DE&I initiatives include:

  • Diverse Recruitment:

This involves actively seeking out and recruiting a diverse pool of candidates for job openings, such as through partnerships with diverse organizations, targeted job postings, and outreach to underrepresented communities.

  • Unconscious Bias Training:

This involves providing training to employees on unconscious bias and how it can impact decision-making in the workplace, with the goal of increasing awareness and mitigating its effects.

Inclusive Workplace Policies: This involves developing policies that promote an inclusive workplace culture, such as flexible work arrangements, accommodations for disabilities, and more.

  • Employee Resource Groups:

These are voluntary, employee-led groups that provide a supportive community for underrepresented groups in the workplace, such as women, diversified nationalities, and all walks of life.

Mentorship and Sponsorship Programs: These programs match employees with mentors or sponsors who can provide guidance, support, and advocacy for career advancement.

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Metrics:

This involves tracking and measuring diversity, equity, and inclusion metrics, such as the representation of underrepresented groups in leadership roles and employee engagement surveys, to assess the effectiveness of DE&I initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
